Goodness thank you all SO MUCH for your positive and encouraging words about Sally! You have no idea how much good it has done my spirit to start, create and finish this project, and then have such generous feedback.
On Saturday, in a fit of enthusiasm (having just put the finishing touches to Sally), I went to my LYS and bought a bag of Debbie Bliss Cathay, which is going to be my next project. It's going to be a Sargeant Pepper jacket. No seriously. I already swatched, and cast on.

Hi Amelia -- I'm new to your blog but am incredibly impressed by your work. I agree that you TOTALLY look like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn in your wonderful Sally sweater. Will the pattern for Sally ever be available? I'm also working on Nona's KAL for the NBaT and am working on the back for the second time :-( The first time, I was displeased with the hemline PLUS it turned out way longer than I thought it should (to hit me just at my pantsline). So, I started over. I'm a fairly new (and fairly slow, in my opinion) knitter, so starting over was a difficult choice for me, but now I'm glad I did. I'm still unsure about the intarsia for the front. I want my word to be "fun" in the same font as the KnitMags showed for their words "blush, joy, and slosh. I have found and downloaded the font, but am unsure how to get it on the knitter's graph paper accurately. I followed some instructions (found on Knitty.com)on how to graph intarsia, but it distored the font so badly that I chose not to go that route. Anyway.... I'm only about halfway through the back, so I still have quite a ways to go before I really need to figure the intarsia part out. Instead of using Calmer, I used an inexpensive lightweight yarn called TLC Cotton Plus. It's washable and it knit up very nice and soft.
I have one last question for you... I followed the link to the "gorgeous" Interweave Corset Pullover and don't see anywhere on the pattern a difficulty level. In fact, after browsing through several of the Interweave patterns, I don't see difficulty levels for any of their patterns. Am I missing something or do they not post it? I don't think I could attempt the Corset Pullover, but I'm thinking seriously about trying the Peace and Love Pullovers (http://interweave.com/knit/TSC/peace_love.asp). They look very similar to the NBaT t-shirt but with long sleeves (which my daughter mentioned she would prefer on a the NBaT). Anyway.... I was just looking for the skill level, and didn't see any. What do you think?
Take care.
Jeanie

OK--a Sgt Pepper jacket? This I'm going to have to see. Your own new design, I presume?
