Carry on Napoleon

I'm plugging away at Napoleon. Inspired by the 'Shocking' Cardigan in Interweave Knits winter 04, this jacket is knit in nine main pieces instead of the usual five. Of course this is going to mean more seaming, but the up side is that the pieces are so small they knit up in no time, which is good, psychologically. Only 3.5 more pieces til I get to the good stuff.

This will be smashing I think. I don't envy you the seaming but it will be absolutely worth it--so flattering. Love that red accent at the bottom edge too.

Looking good. I can't wait to see it all put together. I must pull out that Interweave and take a look at the pattern you mentioned.

looks good...I'm going to pull out my issue and take a look. I agree with the smaller pieces making you feel like you're accomplishing something. I think that's why I enjoy knitting my kids stuff more often. keep us posted.

This is looking really interesting. Can I suggest that you submit it for publication.Try ''knitting'' magazine. If they reject it there's Magknits or Knitty - they'll help get you known.
I'll say the same thing about your other designs.I'm serious. You have a distinctive style and a natural understanding of knitwear.
To be serious i think that Rowan might be interested in your work.Ring them and ask about submitting designs.
You've nothing to lose.I'll cheer you on !

Here here Emma! I said Rowan would be knocking at your door the other day. Go for it.

What a cool & elegant sweater this is going to be. Is it just the sleeves that are different? Looking forward to seeing it finished.
