A few things I like
1. My new RPM socks.
Juicy socks, started 17 Aug 05 finished 2 Sep 05
Pattern: Knitty's RPM
Although for some inexplicable reason, one is larger than the other. I’ve never known my tension to vary particularly, and I definitely used the same needle and number of pattern repeats, so this is slightly baffling. Also one skein of the yarn had slightly darker, stronger variegations. I expect both differences will even themselves out after a few wears and washes. Also, these were a ridiculously quick knit (cast on 54 sts on 2.5 needles).
2. Porridge with Kent raspberries and a little maple syrup. Raspberries are so superior to strawberries, but I’ve managed to kill the few canes in the garden with neglect.
3. Lists.
4. Yoga.
5. Riding my bike. Although I admit it is scary sometimes cycling in London after a break of 18 years. But there’s no hurry, and I can always get off and walk.
6. Cats.
7. Pockets.

the socks are very pretty indeed...only 54 stitches? that must be because you have very slim feet. I need sportweight socks to work 54 stitches.
P.S. I had that discussion of raspberry vs strawberry with the husbnad recently and raspberries won out... but only because blueberry wasn't an option.

Yey for cycling! I know, it can be rather overwhelming cycling in London traffic, I'm always on the look out for cycle lanes, of which there aren't nearly enough despite what red-iculous Ken says. Give me a bell if you fancy a bike ride in company somewhere x

LOVE the socks, Anna - they are so fun! :)

i love that color on those socks. what a bummer about the gauge switch on you. did you knit them on the same day? maybe your moods were different when you knit them. i noticed one time one of my sleeves came out smaller on a sweater. it was because i was angry about something when i picked it up and my gauge got tighter!

I've just been out pruning my raspberry canes - much better than strawberries I agree. Cycling in London can be scary, but it's so quick and if you find a good route it is very pleasant.

Love your socks! RPMs are on my list to knit, too. I agree about raspberries. I was just bemoaning the fact this morning that one cannot get raspberry jam at a restaurant--it's always strawberry, grape or marmalade. Yuck.

My mood definitely affects my gauge.
And, hooray for getting back on the bike! I too am commuting on my bike every day after a break of 16 years; I gave it up when I moved from small town to city (London, incidentally, but the copycat Canadian London). It's liberating, isn't it?

The socks look great! I have to admit, though, that I'm a strawberry girl. Not that I don't like raspberries--I do--but their flavor is stronger, and I like them better as a back-up, whereas strawberries I love as a main attraction. (Besides, the strawberry seeds aren't nearly as much of an inconvenience....)

I love the socks. Maybe I'll break away from my easy toe-up wonders and branch out. Me, I prefer blackberries over strawberries. I just love them!

What yarn did you use for your socks?? Love the orange.

Is that your list or mine?
I love your socks, especially the color - gorgeous. And yeah, rasperries come definetly before strawberries.
But, the best thing that ever a friend did for me, was when my friend Claudia asked me 20 years ago to join her for Yoga classes.
If you look at my filo - it is lists lists lists.

The socks are very fun and super cute with those shoes.

Those are some pretty fantastic socks!
Don't forget about the blackberry. It is the best berry. Especially when you pick them yourself.

*sigh* You have such perfect taste.

Very, very cute socks. For plain stockinette socks, I usually do somewhere in the neighborhood of 56 sts on 2mm needles ... if these RPM socks are stretchy, even fewer stitches would be better. And I am all for quick socks, so I think I have another pattern on my to-knit list.

Love the socks. The yarn is almost pumpkin-colored. Perfect timing.
Scary bicycle riding indeed. I haven't been able to make myself ride a bike after an episode I has in Virginia where the front wheel came off and I flew over the handlebars and almost broke my neck by landing literally on the side of my face. I did sell the bike and bought some roving and dye with the funds, so something good did come of it. :)
I still love your newest knit, Daisy.

So nice that you plainly admitted that: that it's all right to just get off and walk.

Great socks, especially with the little snub-nosed shoes!
